TRAINING

Our manual handling training courses are designed to support employees responsible for transporting heavy loads by hand (including lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving). Our courses will also prepare employees to carry out comprehensive manual handling risk assessments in the workplace.

Our Fire Safety Awareness training  raises awareness of the dangers associated with fire and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks that fire presents.  

Employers have a duty to provide health and safety training and information for display screen equipment (DSE) users. Our training covers the risks involved in DSE work and how to avoid these by safe working practices. 

Our training courses which cover the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)  are  designed to provide the knowledge and understanding of how to work safely with hazardous substances.

Employers must 'ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment, and risks which such use may entail and the precautions to be taken.'
